Frequently asked questions
Which resolver does this tool use?
Queries are sent directly from your browser to Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 over DNS over HTTPS. Nobuf does not proxy or log the hostname.
Is this a global DNS propagation checker?
No. It reports one public recursive resolver's current view. Global propagation requires comparisons across multiple independent resolver locations.
Does a DNSSEC validated result prove the website is safe?
No. The AD signal indicates the resolver validated the DNS answer chain; it does not audit TLS, application security, ownership, or content.
Why can a valid domain have no answer for a record type?
A domain can exist without every record type. NOERROR with an empty answer is different from NXDOMAIN, which means the queried name does not exist.
