Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. Files, form values, OCR text, signatures, and passwords stay in this browser and are never sent to Nobuf.
Can it edit existing PDF text like Word?
PDFs do not contain a reliable word-processing text flow. This studio provides accurate overlay editing and does not claim to rewrite every original text object.
Is a visual signature a certificate signature?
No. It places a visible signature image or text but does not authenticate identity or create an X.509 certificate signature.
How does secure redaction work?
Pages with secure redactions are rasterized, the redaction is burned into pixels, and the original text and annotation layer is not copied to that output page.
Can this convert PDF to Word, Excel, or PowerPoint?
Not with dependable high fidelity in a static browser app. Those conversions need a full layout engine, fonts, or server software and are deliberately not advertised here.
What limits very large PDFs?
Browser memory, Canvas dimensions, and device performance set practical limits. The viewer renders only the current page and nearby visible thumbnails to reduce memory use.
