Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
The browser queries the World Bank Indicators API directly. Nobuf identifies the provider, requested fields, cache state, source note, and retrieval time.
Are the latest values from the current year?
Not necessarily. Publication lags vary by country and indicator, so every ranking and map value includes its observation year.
What does normalized index mean?
Each visible country series is divided by its first available value and multiplied by 100. It compares relative change, not absolute levels or units.
Can this replace official statistical analysis?
No. Definitions, revisions, estimation methods, missing data, country aggregation, and comparability require the provider metadata and domain review.
