Frequently asked questions
Are photos uploaded?
No. Metadata parsing, JPEG rewriting, supported raster re-encoding and ZIP creation run in this browser.
Does cleaning preserve image quality?
JPEG segment cleaning preserves the compressed image scan. PNG and WebP cleanup uses browser re-encoding and can change encoded pixels or file size; the UI labels that path before processing.
Can every format be edited?
No. JPEG supports limited EXIF field writing. HEIC, AVIF and TIFF are inspection-only in this release, and decoder support still depends on the metadata parser and file.
Does zero detected risk prove a photo is anonymous?
No. The result only covers fields recognized by the current parser and policies. Review the downloaded file with the verification view before sharing.
