Frequently asked questions
Is my recording uploaded?
No. Capture, canvas composition, MediaRecorder output and downloads remain in this browser tab.
Why can system audio be missing?
The browser, operating system and chosen surface control whether an audio track is returned. A request cannot guarantee capture.
Why is MP4 not always available?
The output list comes from MediaRecorder.isTypeSupported. WebM is common; MP4 appears only when the current browser encoder reports support.
Can every browser export a trimmed clip?
No. Local trim export requires media-element stream capture and real-time re-recording. The control is disabled with an explanation when unavailable.
